The Due Dissidence Dudes take a close look at the sudden shift in corporate favor. In 2016 all corporations instantly hated Trump. When Trump encouraged a protest in January 2021, all corporations treated one protest as a universe-ending event, and sternly rejected everything remotely associated with the “right”. Now all corporations are flocking to suck TrumpGod’s Royal Dick.
This year’s action makes sense by normal corporate standards. They recognize that Trump will have power over taxes and corporate welfare, so they need to be on his side. This is normal.
The years BETWEEN 2016 and now don’t make sense to me. Starting in 2017, the REAL Trump instantly reverted to his lifetime innate purpose. He’s NYC. He’s Wall Street. He always does what Wall Street wants. In 2020 he gave corporations the BIGGEST GIFT IN HISTORY, officially CLOSING all of their smaller competitors and handing 20 TRILLION DOLLARS to the corporations as compensation for the horrible pain of gaining a TOTAL MONOPOLY. What more could you ask?
Here’s the mystery. His BIGGEST GIFT IN HISTORY made no difference. All corporations continued to hate and make war on anything remotely connected with TrumpGod. Their hatred was UNAFFECTED by Trump’s REAL actions.
The only partial explanation I can imagine is that Trump’s WORDS were perfectly honest this time. From the start of this “election” he came out frankly as pure NYC, pure Wall Street, letting his innate inherited lifetime career out in the open. Before this time his WORDS were fake populist.
This isn’t convincing. Normally corporations don’t pay much attention to political verbiage. They know when they’re gaining infinite wealth and when they’re being restricted. Normally they hate the side that restricts them, and the Biden admin DID restrict them more than any previous admin since 1970. Lina Khan was moving back to the New Deal pretty solidly, though she wasn’t able to get very far without any support from the D politicians.

Later thought. Not only the corporations but the social and mainstream media have switched sides. Now they’re all HONESTLY favoring the billionaire party. MSM is starting to ask a few real questions to the Dems, much too late to make a difference. Still, the D side is the only side with some New Deal DNA, and those genes were starting to express in the Biden admin. If the billionaires are all openly with Trump now, no longer willing to bribe Dems into loyalty, this COULD present an opening for reform. R will never reform because they have no DNA left over from the sane time of Eisenhower. R is all neocons now, all billionaires now, with no fake opposition.
