Supposedly AI is taking over programming by pumping out far more units of code than a real programmer can. Even if all these units work, WHERE ARE THEY GOING? I don’t see any improvement in the functions of the big platforms. I see lots of “offers” to generate shit for you. After I write an item here on WordPress, WP “offers” to create an artificial podcast from it.
In one of his pieces on the economics of AI, Gary Marcus showed a screenshot of a Twitter post by one of the big-name AI advocates. The screenshot included the all-too-familiar “mime type” error. (I can’t find the piece again to link it; Substack’s algorithm doesn’t let you find things again in the usual way through browser history. Seems like Claude could improve this if they WANTED to improve it!)

When I see this in my courseware I fix it. Usually it means the requested video isn’t in the folder, or I’ve miswritten the link.
If Claude can fix anything instantly, why aren’t you using Claude to FIX YOUR OWN ADVERTISING FOR CLAUDE?
