Mangione was charged separately by state and feds. As usual the feds didn’t have jurisdiction. As usual they found a technical way to charge him with fake crap like “stalking”. Today his lawyers got rid of the fake crap by pleading guilty. The real state case is still on pause.
Smart lawyers ALWAYS TAKE THE PLEA**.
I hope his lawyers in the state case are equally smart.
Justice is almost never served by government in modern “enlightened” countries. Ordinary crimes like arson and theft go unpunished, leaving ordinary people to take the brunt of prison-like stores and burned-out cities. Political “crimes” like helping the wrong party are heavily punished.
A jury would CORRECTLY find Mangione innocent because he was performing JUSTICE, not CRIME. He was punishing a massive Deepstate crime.
After an innocent verdict he would be free. He wouldn’t last long on the streets. He would be a rallying point for the wrong party, and Deepstate wouldn’t tolerate it.
In a top-security prison he will be safe from Deepstate and safe from assassins. Prison administrations aren’t nice, but they do a MUCH better job of protecting basic life and health than the “freedom-loving” politicians and “health insurers” on the streets.

** There are a handful of exceptional cases. Back in the 90s an ordinary man killed a thief who was stealing his car. Local “prosecutors” hated him because he belonged to the wrong party, and went after him hard for murder. A jury quickly found him innocent by self-defense. He wasn’t famous enough to be worth Deepstate expense, so he faded back to normal life. This jury’s decision changed the real law without changing the written books. Local “prosecutors” didn’t try the same stunt again, recognizing they weren’t going to win.
