Sovereign citizens spend HUGE amounts of time and effort “resisting” the legal system, using antiquated bits of law. (writs of replevin, admiralty law, etc) They never win. The legal system just hardens its attitude and the general public finds the legal system less obnoxious than the sovcits.
Journalists spend HUGE amounts of time and effort resisting Trump, using antiquated bits of law (insurrection clause, emoluments clause, etc) They never win. Trump just hardens his attitude and the general public finds Trump less obnoxious than the journalists.
Resistance NEVER works. It only hardens the attitude of your enemy and turns normal people against you.
When dealing with a psychopathic person or system, you have to roll with the punches and MINIMIZE interactions. Pay the two dollars. Take the plea. Get out of the room** and run your own life, do your own duty, use your own talents.
** And when you’re kicked out of the room, for example the White House Press Conference Room, you should be HAPPY. The psychopath has given you a chance to mind your own business and report on things that might help real people. Of course you won’t mind your own business. You’ll keep suing and pressing to get back into the room.
