Streets ARE geometry. Occasionally I wonder why math is so poorly represented in street names. Whole numbers are all over the place, and some addresses have 1/2 or rarely 1/4 and 3/4. There are only a few decimal street names applied to county roads. For instance, T.5 Road is halfway between the mile divisions of T Road and U Road.
What about geom and trig? Euclid St is common, though I don’t think it’s a reference to the old geometer. It’s usually in an industrial area. Circle Drive is extremely common, including one just uphill from me. Most Circle Drives aren’t really circular. Perimeter and Diagonal are also fairly common on bypasses and access roads.
Is there a Pythagoras? Google finds exactly one in the world. It’s in Utrecht among a HUGE set of streets named after philosophers, scientists and artists. Again not really a geometry reference.
So let’s have some fun. In most cities the Avenues are cosine and the Streets are sine. Many curvy streets could have function names.
