I’m mainly praising the Spokane newspaper for staying FIRMLY AND RIGOROUSLY non-partisan. There’s apparently some turmoil in their management, reporters disliking the new boss and new nonprofit setup. I was afraid this would lead to a return of their old haughty aristocratic contempt, but so far it hasn’t. They are remaining strictly professional, Fairness Doctrine all the way.
Here’s a fine example of pure Fairness Doctrine, and I’ll try to carry on the spirit in discussing it. “Governor” Ferguson is a standard modern Dem, constantly suing Trump and thus helping to give Trump a third term. Ferguson goes along with all of the standard “progressive” monstrosities in public, favoring homeless and favoring criminals.
BUT: His actions in one area are remarkably sane. The “state” nominally doesn’t grant parole but it has a Parole Board anyway, a commission recommending early release for some prisoners. The commission has recommended 15 paroles in the last two years and Ferguson turned all of them down.
GOOD WORK and gutsy work. Several “progressive” leaders are unhappy with Ferguson for failing to release 100% of criminals. Superdemon Inslee granted 94% of the recommended paroles and then went beyond the board to grant even more paroles. Pure psychopath, destroying and ruining the universe in every possible way.

Related: Gary Locke was governor before Superdemon Inslee. Locke was highly competent but seemed disgusted with politics. He stayed out of the public eye since then. Now he’s speaking on behalf of simple competence, worrying that the “state” is launching all sorts of crazy shit without being able to pay for it.
