Seen at Reddit, this is GENUINELY surprising.
A short clip shows a real priest making Holy Water. He fills a plastic garden sprinkler with tap water in the church’s laundry sink, adds a few grains of Blessed Salt from a hand-labeled mason jar, reads the blessing, then fills the church’s Holy Water Font. Just a daily chore.
This priest looks like me when I was younger and fatter, and the chore looks like me running the laundry this morning, blessing the washer and thanking it for a smooth job.
I would have imagined a Secret Holy Water Distillery in the depths of the Vatican, pulling water from a spring where St Peter bathed, running it through an aqueduct, then processing it through pipes and beakers and fractionating tanks molded from the burned bones of saints and martyrs.
