I understand Chomsky. He’s an academic type, a Howist, naturally inclined to seek the black-box answer to problems. He refuses to see motives behind assassinations and wars unless the event changes policies. I have the same tendency.

Three types of knowledge: How, What, Who.
All three types are necessary, and everyone uses all three types all the time, but the dominant type strongly influences the form and the success of a culture.
Howism is based on skills, on knowing the way. How to build, how to cook, how to repair, how to keep people happy, how to keep them under control. How-knowledge comes directly from the senses, tempered and conditioned by comparison and proportion, with a constant awareness of feedback and cycles. (Does this work better? How can I tell when it’s better? When does it repeat?) How-knowledge can be passed with no words at all from mother to daughter, father to son, master to apprentice.
Whatism is based on facts, on knowing the data. What-knowledge requires language, symbols and formulas. You can acquire what-knowledge by reading or listening.
Whoism is based on identity and quotation. Who-knowledge requires a strong sense of status, an up-to-date reading of comparative authority, and a tape-recorder mind. If the high-status person says “2+2=5” and wears Prada, we must say “2+2=5” and wear Prada. If the low-status person says “2+2=4” and wears J.C. Penney, we must mock “2+2=4” and discard everything with a J.C. Penney label.

Unfortunately, power seekers are NOT scientist types. Power seekers are deeply PERSONAL. They are Whoists, not Whatists or Howists.
I didn’t start to understand this point until I encountered Manweller’s Rule. An election that might change behavior will be overturned. Changing behavior is NOT the purpose of elections.
Machiavelli wrote the complete textbook. History agrees. Coups and assassinations are NOT intended to change policy or behavior. The purpose of such events is to change the PERSON in charge of policy.
This also applies to “elections”. When we switch the “party” in vain hope of changing policy, the actions of government continue seamlessly along the same evil path. A new set of demons is performing the same evil acts.
The demons fool us into thinking like engineers. School “history” courses and media coverage of “history” always treat events like an engineer, looking for the change in policy.
Demons provide fake “elections” at lower levels with fake polls and fake security controls and mode choices on software. You think you’re in control, but in fact you’re only providing information about your desires to the demons so they can control YOU better.
So Chomsky, along with most other political academics, is another fake “election”. Like the school textbooks, he convinces us that events are meant to change How, which makes it easier for the Whoists to change Who. Is he doing this deliberately? His Epstein connection says yes.
Policy only changes when the Who decides to do something different AFTER assuming power for personal reasons. This is rare. Usually a disobedient Who is quickly assassinated or kicked out. Occasionally a rebellious Who has enough blackmail power or inherited power to do a few good things and survive.
At the moment the one heroic rebellious Who, the one CLASS TRAITOR, is Jerome Powell, resolutely restoring Natural Law, fighting against EVERY SINGLE FUCKING POLITICIAN AND WRITER AND INFLUENCER. Danielle DiMartino describes how Powell changed his mind after being appointed. He was originally a hedge fund type, appointed by Trump to keep the free money flowing. Danielle is also a hedgie, so she’s profoundly unhappy about the CLASS TRAITOR, but her description is still valid whether you like it or not.

After writing the above, I was clicking around the web and noticed that the crowning was about to start, so watched it on CBS, which seemed to have the best connection just like before. Impressive. All of the physical stuff, and most of the music, was made in England. The outside part with the coaches and horses was performed in a heavy rain, also England. Nature cooperated. The only part that seemed wrong to my ears was the Byzantine chant during the bit with the spurs and swords and bracelets and gloves.
Charles selected the texts as he selected his life, to emphasize ruling by serving. I think he means it, since he’s been doing it for 73 years. So far he has been using his inherited power more actively than Elizabeth did, trying to clean up the blackmail connections and scandals surrounding the monarchy.
