Henry Wallace in action

Continuing my long salute to heroic Henry Wallace.

His 1948 campaign has been tinfoiled and hahahaed out of history. In high school “history” class we heard a recording of his 1948 convention. The teacher “instructed” us about its silliness and absurdity.

A new recording has popped up at Otrcat.com among a large collection on the 1948 election. I suppose the same piece is hidden at Archive.com somewhere. Archive’s own unsearch doesn’t find it, which is normal, and Google doesn’t find it either, which is more meaningful. So I’ve uploaded the piece after stripping off the dull intro and outro.

Here’s the recording.

In modern terms it’s an AMA podcast. Wallace is reading and answering letters from his supporters. 1948 was remarkably similar to 2023 in many ways. We were recovering from a wartime situation with huge economic displacements, shortages and inflation. Congress and Lady Edgar were “investigating” people who dared to speak the truth, including Wallace himself. Slight differences of opinion were ruthlessly cancelled by employers and friends. Normal people were called Russian spies. Meaningless differences were turned into treason while the “two” “parties” agreed on everything.

THIS SOUNDS FAMILIAR.

Wallace recognized the problems and offered solutions. He was in a unique position to offer solutions. Wallace solved the Dust Bowl. He turned farming from a risk-it-all gamble into a reasonably secure occupation for competent farmers, and he helped to make farmers competent.

He knew better than anyone else in public life how people suffer from bad government, and how to solve bad government.

THIS DOES NOT SOUND FAMILIAR.

Only one of our modern candidates has actually solved problems, but he refuses to run as a problem-solver. None of our current “candidates” are identifying the problems correctly. All are crusading on meaningless temporary differences.

Later: Another clip on the 1948 election verifies the tinfoiling. This clip is a group of reporters in one of those Meet The Press things, discussing why the polls and pundits overestimated Wallace’s support. They blame the convention, which was shown on TV. One says “They put a communistic tag on Wallace in that convention, which as you know was run by people closely associated with the communistic cause.” Another says: “A lot of people who were shown there didn’t appear to have too much sense.” We know that the “communistic cause” was a wholly owned division of FBI, and we know that FBI’s permanent goal is to portray anti-globalists as “not having too much sense”.

Wallace seemingly didn’t understand Lady Edgar. In 1950 when Congress finished off his punishment with a merciless “investigation”, he was clearly blindsided by their raw satanic evil. They were punishing him for attempting to keep Russia happy. RUSSIA WAS OUR ALLY AND PLAYED THE LARGEST PART IN DEFEATING THE KRAUTS. After the war, Lady Edgar resumed our normal permanent hatred of Russia, blaming all of FBI’s evil tricks on RUSSIAN_HACKING. We’re still doing it.
