The Christians are bashing the pres of Harvard for doing EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANTED HER TO DO until right now. Before October they were bashing university presidents for opposing free speech. Now the Harvard pres is supporting free speech as the Christians wanted, but supporting it for people the Christians hate.
This idiocy proves my point. “Free speech” is a meaningless concept. Censorship and secrecy are Nature’s way of doing things, and Nature has a good reason. “Free speech”, along with the whole nonsensical concept of “rights”, was invented in the Endarkenment as a tool for tyrants.
When a “principle” is used in only one direction, it’s not a real principle. It’s just a tool for arguing.

The same “conservatives” are also making a valid argument against prestige colleges in general, which has nothing to do with “freedom”. Everyone recognizes now that college is just a certifier of noble rank, not a place where you learn anything.
The “conservatives” are asking where students should go for real learning. The answer is simple. Young people who want to learn should get jobs or go to trade schools. Young men are already doing it, and possibly some young women will catch the same realization, though I doubt it. Status is intrinsically important to women. Men only use status to get sex.
We don’t need new colleges to memorize a different BRAND of fake facts and useless abstractions. Let the entire institution die out. Don’t try to fix an organization that has ALWAYS been destructive and corrupt.
