I’m not worried about…

As often repeated, I’m not worried about AI output taking over the world. I’m pissed that it STEALS COPYRIGHTS WITHOUT PAYING, regardless of what the output is doing.

So far it’s not doing much, and some early adopters are realizing that it doesn’t help. It just gives them a new excuse to raise their Share Value by cutting jobs, which they’ve been doing for 40 years anyway.

Semafor is a hi-tech media outlet, presumably in the Early Adopter list. Here’s what I saw when I looked at an article this morning:

As with the MIME type error,, this is a familiar pattern. It means the HTML is trying to use a nonexistent or misplaced CSS page. When I see this in my courseware I know immediately what happened and how to fix it. If Semafor is using AI, it doesn’t seem to be detecting obvious patterns. If they’re not using AI, they’re still showing a bad example of hi-tech web design.
