Another pointless Modest Proposal

1. We know which seasons and which areas are prone to quick ignition. Why not keep those areas wetter BEFORE the disaster happens? Use planes and copters to dip from lakes and rivers. Sprinkle broadly every week or so. The areas don’t need to be irrigated like farms, just less dry for a while.

2. This one is super-weird sci-fi fantasy. We’ll need to pay SpaceX and Anthropic a few trillion dollars to develop such an unimaginable utopian delusion. Perhaps we can detect people who habitually commit certain types of actions, like taking things or burning things or killing people. When a person has done these actions repeatedly, perhaps we could design some kind of “place” that contains an “area” inside it. I’m going to invent the word “enclosure” for such a “place”. I imagine that the “enclosure” would have vertical parts surrounding a horizontal part, arranged to somehow prevent these habitual persons from escaping to other “places” outside the “enclosure”. No aspect of this weird dream has ever been imagined or done before, so it will take some serious thinking and lots of money.
